• TILEZ •

NOTE: As of August 10, 2004, all of the Outdoor Tiles (CobbleStone, Field Pit and the River Tile Set) below have been revised. I have recreated the outdoor tiles with a more natural looking grass. Additionally, the CobbleStone Tile has been completely reworked to give a more natural look as well as being able to be used with the Bridge from the River Tile Set.

Basic Room Tile Set basicth

This Tile Set was created for use with QuestMaker Color. It allows the Quest designer to make dungeons in the fashion of Warhammer Quest, in that a board is not required. It has also been thinned by one square so that it may be used in conjunction with the Bridge Tile in the River Tile Set. I was inspired by the phenomenal work of Ron Shirtz. This Tile was created just for the hell of it! Imagine your Heroes looking at this floor and thinking to themselves that they may be unprepared for what lies ahead! The cracking surely was caused by the fall of one helluva large Monster! Includes Map Icon.

Portcullis Stand Up portth

This Stand Up was created to replace the Portcullis Stand Ups in the Quest for the Elf as they look like a rack of spears! The Portcullis is be used in the HeroQuest Door Stands to create a Portcullis in the dungeon walls or blocking halls. The Portcullis may be used, for example, to make possible ambush attacks in halls, if the Monsters have Missile Weapons/Spells. This disregards the rule from the Quest for the Elf as a Heroes or Monsters could clearly see through the Portcullis! The rules for the use of the Portcullis is included but remains the same as given in the HeroQuest Marvel Winter Special. This Stand Up is for use in dungeon Quest settings. Includes both an open and a closed Portcullis, Map Icons and Instructions.

Large Portcullis Stand Up lgportth

This Stand Up was created to replace the flat Large Portcullis Tiles which were available in the HeroQuest Marvel Winter Special. The Large Portcullis is be used in the HeroQuest Door Stands to create a Large Portcullis in the dungeon walls or blocking the doublewide halls. The Large Portcullis may be used, for example, to make possible ambush attacks in halls, if the Monsters have Missile Weapons/Spells. This disregards the rule from the Quest for the Elf as a Heroes or Monsters could clearly see through the Large Portcullis! The rules for the use of the Portcullis is included but remains the same as given in the HeroQuest Marvel Winter Special. This Stand Up is for use in dungeon Quest settings. Includes both an open and a closed Large Portcullis, Map Icons and Instructions.

Please Note:

This page contains links to Zipped images. All images are 200 dpi. When viewed they will appear much larger than actual size. I created them in at 200 dpi to retain image quality when printed.

To print at the correct scale you will need a graphics editor and print the artwork at 200 dpi or the image will print very large! Both the Web and your monitor are set to view images at 72 dpi (Windows preferences may alter this to 96 dpi). After an image is created and uploaded to the Web it is transformed from any dpi to 72 dpi, although the number of actual pixels is unchanged. This is why some people will upload an image that appears correct in their image editor, but require a 60 inch diagonal monitor to view the image on the Web!

To convert the artwork to the correct 200 dpi, open the file in an image editor such as PhotoShop. Once the image is loaded, adjust the Image Size from 72 dpi to 200 dpi. Do not select the option Resample Image, as that will only create an extremely large image at 200 dpi by increasing the number of pixels! The tiles are made of 25 mm squares sections when printed at 200 dpi.
